CONTROLLER OF KINGS Saturday 7 April

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye
Memorise: The King’s heart is in the hand of LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Proverbs 21:1
Read: Daniel 4:24-27
As the King of kings, God wields His power, influence and authority over other kings. Daniel 4:25 says God is the true king maker as He determines who ascends the throne and who does not. Psalm 75:7 says He can set up a king and pull down another king. Proverbs 21: 1 says He has the hearts of kings in his hands and turns them wherever He wants. Kings control things while God control the kings. One implication of God being the King of kings is that all power brokers and controllers of men are at His beck and call and He can use them to back you up in fulfilling your destiny. Joseph is an example of someone that experienced this. God revealed His plan to make him great in two separate but similar dreams. Joseph was sure he was not created to die prematurely or to become victim of circumstance manipulated by men. But at some point in his life, Joseph was sitting in prison instead of on the throne. Then the King of kings gave a set of dreams to Pharaoh and within 24 hours, Joseph dreams were fulfilled. Are you presently located in the pit or prison of life while heading for your promised throne? The King of kings will engineer events that will lift you up and help you to fulfill your destiny.
According to Romans 8:31, if the King of kings is on your side, nobody can be against you. When the question is asked: If God be for you, who can be against you? Usually, we chorus ‘Nobody’, but forget that sometimes, we can decide to be against ourselves. Our Lord Jesus said there is no neutral place: it is either you are for Him or you are against Him. You are either gathering with Him or scattering from Him. You are either a Christian who is 100 percent committed or you are not. Where do you stand in all of these? How often do you call on the King of kings to influence the power brokers in your favour?
KEY POINT:
Some people lobby people while some others lobby the King of kings. Kings are limited to their domains, but the King of kings is not limited to any domain.

  1. Ten years ago, I (Pastor E.A
    Adeboye) called for
    people who will be my
    covenant partners; and
    several people volunteered. I
said it would be for ten
years, the ten years are over
now and many of them had
    asked, what’s happening, are
we going to continue? I told
    them I will ask God.
When I asked God, He said
there will be a new set and it
will not be for ten years. He
    said “because those people
    were in covenant with you
for ten years, I had no choice
but to keep them alive for
ten years”. He said “You tied
    my hands”.
    And I remembered all the
    miracles that happened in
the life of my partners, and I
    thank God for all the
miracles, I thank God for all
my partners and I say, thank
you for the past ten years.
Now, the Lord says to me,
the new set of partners will
be for only three years. He
said after three years, we can
review. So, if you want to be
    one of my partners, your
    duties will be as follows:
    1. You will pray for us every
day, even if it’s only one
    minute; very simple prayer
    ‘Father, strengthen your son,
    don’t let his anointing run
dry, don’t let him fail you, let
    him finish strong’. Four
    simple prayers: strengthen
    him, don’t let his anointing
run dry, don’t let him fail
    you, and let him finish
    strong. That’s assignment one
for my partners even if it’s
    only one minute a day,
    please, include us in your
    prayers.
    2. You’ll fast with us as we
    used to do. February, July
    and December. All you need
to do is a day at a time but if
you can fast day and night
    continuously then, fourteen
    days alone will be enough.
So, you’ll pray for us, you’ll
    fast and then you’ll support
    the work we are doing
    financially.
    The new group, your support
    will be every month instead
of every year and there will
be ten groups. So, you’ll be
able to join at least, one of
    the ten.
    1. GROUP ONE: N100 a
    month.
    2. GROUP TWO: N500 a
    month.
    3. GROUP THREE: N1,000 a
    month.
    4. GROUP FOUR: N5,000 a
    month.
    5. GROUP FIVE: N10,000 a
    month.
    6. GROUP SIX: N50,000 a
    month.
    7. GROUP SEVEN: N100,000 a
    month.
    8. GROUP EIGHT: N500,000 a
    month.
    9. GROUP NINE: N1,000,000 a
    month.
    10. GROUP TEN:
    N200000,0000 and above a
    month.
If you want to do it in Dollars
    or Pounds, they will show
    you everything on the screen.
    So you pick whichever group
    you want to belong to.
My advice is, come in at
    whatever level is convenient
for you now, I trust my God
that as He begins to bless
    you, you’ll keep on moving
    higher and there will be
    people who will enter in
    group two or three today
    before this time next year,
they will already be in group
    ten.
    So please, take some one
    minute, you’ll write your
    name, your address, your
    phone number, and the
group you want to belong to.
    When you’re sending the
money, when you put it in an
    envelope, write at the back
    ‘Covenant Partner’. Write it
at the back of the envelope
    so we’ll know into which
    account we will direct the
    money.
    If you’re writing a cheque,
please write it in the name of
    The Redeemed Christian
Church of God and then at
    the back, put ‘Covenant
    Partner’. Don’t write the
    cheque in my name.
    Any cheque written in my
name will be used for what?
    (Response from the
    congregation: pounded yam)
ah! Thank you, it will go for
    pounded yam straight.
    So, write your cheque in
    the name of The
    Redeemed Christian
    Church of God and then
at the back of the cheque
    write ‘Covenant Partner’.
My own duty is that I pray for
    my partners everyday; not
    once a month but everyday.
And I promise you, my God
who had been faithful to me
all these years will be faithful
to my partners also in Jesus’
    name.
He made a promise, He said
all those who are lifting up
my hands, He said as I rise,
they will rise. So you will rise
with me in Jesus’ name. So,
    you’ll write your name, your
    address, your phone number,
    the group you want to
belong to and please drop it
    in the offering basket later
    on in the night.

BENEFITS OF UNITY Sunday 27 November

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) READ: Acts 2:1-4 U nity is a powerful force in the universe. However, uniting against God, His Word or His children causes God to arise in defence of His Name. This is the other side of power of unity. Barring this, unity can accomplish almost anything on the face of the earth. In Genesis 11:5-6, God said that if the people of the earth were left with one language and as united as they were in building the city and tower, they will be unstoppable. The united are unstoppable. Unity is a powerful tool for achieving plans and purposes. But if operated in righteousness within the Christian fold, it is even more powerful. “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it sha

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop
