PRAYER POINTS FOR FASTING MONTH

THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD COVENANT PRAYER POINTS FOR FEBRUARY 2012 "Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria." 2 Kings 7:1 The sounds of abundance of rain were echoed at the very beginning when this year was just about an hour old. These words of gladness, spoken and sent to us from our Father in Heaven through his anointed, daddy E.A. Adeboye, have created a kind of hope for "NEW THINGS" that this very year 2012 is known for. We believe that like the days of Elisha, the prophecies for this year will experience a very rapid fulfillment in Jesus Name. THE PRAYER POINTS Prayers of THANKSGIVING will be our focus in the first week this February. Each day of Second, third and last week would be dedicated to special prayers for Daddy E.A. Adeboye as Daddy clocks 70 in March

ANOINTING SECURES THE ANOINTED Wednesday 1 February

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye Memorise: Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14 Read: Hebrews 1:8-9 O ne characteristic of God that He can never compromise is holiness. His holiness is so sure that he swears by it often, as it is in Amos 4:2 & Psalms 89:35. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. God is not just holy, He also wants us to be partakers of His Holiness (Hebrews 12:10b). But why is God so particular about us living a holy life? It is because He wants us to continually have fellowship with Him right here on earth and for that fellowship to continue when we see Him at the end. Our God is a holy God and He says in Hebrews 12:14, without holiness no one will see God. Before the advent of sin, man had no problems. Today, our Father desires that we live a life devoid of problems, hence the need for us to be holy. Living a life of holinesses also helps t

BEYOND COMMAND Tuesday 31 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye Memorise: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalms 100:4 READ: Luke 9:28-36 G oing by the experience of Jesus on the mount of Transfiguration, prayer is a key to encountering God’s glory, just as God can reach out to man, so also can man reach the invisible God in the place of fervent prayer, to the point of physical clothes changing form. Have you used this tool to access your desired change? To get the kind of result recorded in Luke 9:29, the Lord Jesus Christ first separated Himself from private and public ministry. His ministry entailed privately counselling a number of people and mentoring his disciples while ministering to lots more publicly, but He set all these aside temporarily in order to access a higher level of God’s presence. If you want God’s glory to transform you, you must be prepared to pay the price the Lord paid. A worker

SECURITY IN EVANGELISM Monday 30 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye Memorise: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30 Read: Revelation 3:7-13 T aking a quick look at the history of Philadelphia gives us an insight into the letter of the Lord to the church there. The word Philadelphia is from the Greek word ‘Philadelphos’ meaning brotherly love. This city was established as a missionary field of Greek culture to the neighbouring cities. One advantage that constantly worked against many of its inhabitants was its being sited in the midst of a plain of grape fruits. This gave them access to cheap wine and left many drunk in the morning. Philadelphia and other surrounding cities were subject to constant earthquakes thereby keeping residents ever on alert. The expense of repairs was constant. These conditions perhaps explain the state of members of this church (Revelations 3:8). The church at Philadelphia was strong, vibrant and was missi

WHERE IS THE OVERFLOW? Sunday 29 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye Memorise: It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; Psalms 133:2 Read: Acts 19:11-12 R ecently, I went to America and visited a book shop to buy some tapes. An American came and introduced himself to me and shook me. Immediately after the handshake, he asked: “What happened?” Unknown to me the man was suffering from pains on his hands and one of his legs but he observed that the pain had suddenly disappeared from both the hands and leg. As I moved further from there, the man began to ask those with me: “Who is this man?” Thereafter, he returned and asked for another handshake. This season, the anointing of God on you will spread to others. It is worth nothing that anointing is not just for the benefit of the anointed. God expects the anointing to overflow to others. An African adage says: When the eyes are full of water, th

HOW COMFORTING? Saturday 28 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye Memorise: Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 Read: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 A sides healing and deliverance, another benefit that can be derived from house fellowships by members is provision. A house fellowship should be a place of provision. Those who are hungry or thirsty should be able to come there and receive food. At the judgement of the nations, the Lord said He would tell those who took care of the poor that they did it to Him, and those who neglected the poor that it was Him they neglected (Matthew 25:31-40). If you attend a house fellowship, it would be easier to identify fellow members who have just one pair of shoes, or shirt or those who wear the same skirt repeatedly. Do not leave that brother or sister in that state. You must minister to that fellow according to your

BE A BLESSING Friday 27 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye Memorise: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: Genesis 12:2 Read: Genesis 12:1-3 T he outpouring of God’s blessings upon you could start from a point where you receive just day to day provisions. From this, you could be moved to another level where you will be so blessed to the point of you being frightened (Deuteronomy 28:1-13). This was the experience of Peter. Having toiled for so long without catching any fish, the Lord gave him a net-breaking catch of fishes and he, and the people working with him were astonished. He was so shaken that the Lord had to personally tell him not to fear. This year, the Lord will so bless you that you will be embarrassed and afraid. The kind of blessing and breakthrough you never thought possible will come to you this season in the name of Jesus. Many years ago while I was still teaching in Ondo Sta
