CONTROLLER OF MEN AND ANGELS Saturday 31 March

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Memorise: Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrews 1:14

Read: Daniel 6:6-23

God is the King of kings, and as a result He is in control. He controls the heavens and the earth, as well as those in them. He controls human beings and can use them to render help to the needy. In 2 Kings 5:1-14, God prompted a young maid to speak of His ability and the word got the attention of a needy general, which helped to link him with his much-needed miracle. When God prompts you to do or say something, do you obey? You cannot tell the far-reaching effects of that obedience! God controls all His subjects including earthly kings. When a king controls his domain and wants things done, all he may be required to do would be to instruct people to carry out the assignment. Everyone God needs to command to work in your favour will receive their commands from the Almighty God this season in Jesus name.

Moreover, the angels are not outside God’s sphere of control. They do His commandments and follow the voice of His word according to Psalm 103:20. Whenever He wants something done for you and there is no human being around, or the task is above the ability of humans, God can send an angel. In Daniel 6:16-23, when God was to deliver Daniel from the lion’s den, He sent an angel. Also, in Acts 12:5-11, when He was to release His servant from prison, He sent an angel. You can be assured that no security guard or prison door can stop an angel. Every task to be done in your life that requires the attention of an angel, that angel will manifest speedily in Jesus name. In addition, God has authority over demons. Job 1:6-12 shows that even the devil cannot do anything to God’s children without getting permission from God. The devil and his cohorts have to operate within the sphere of limitation God has set for them. No demon can do anything to you without God’s permission. The devil cannot hurt you at will. He cannot touch you whenever he likes except he comes to obtain permission from the King of kings. It should gladden your heart that the King of kings watches over you on a daily basis.

ACTION POINT:
Thank God for being in charge of your life and circumstances. Command that demons, men and angels respond to His will concerning you.
Bible in one year: Exodus 1-4

BENEFITS OF UNITY Sunday 27 November

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) READ: Acts 2:1-4 U nity is a powerful force in the universe. However, uniting against God, His Word or His children causes God to arise in defence of His Name. This is the other side of power of unity. Barring this, unity can accomplish almost anything on the face of the earth. In Genesis 11:5-6, God said that if the people of the earth were left with one language and as united as they were in building the city and tower, they will be unstoppable. The united are unstoppable. Unity is a powerful tool for achieving plans and purposes. But if operated in righteousness within the Christian fold, it is even more powerful. “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it sha

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop
