YOU CAN CREATE Sunday 22 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Memorise: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

Read: Genesis 1:1-3

A new beginning is the time to create or initiate new things. The beginning is not a time to loaf about or procrastinate but the time for hard work. God and the Word are seen creating things in the beginning.

All the things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John1:3

If you have no job, this is not the time to wake up by 12 noon. Get up and look for something legitimate to do. The Lord will make a way for you. Speak to your hands and say: ‘These hands shall not be empty. You shall prosper in a good work that will fetch me income’. Afterwards, prayerfully launch out. There are several opportunities around you. Some people are just too choosy. They look down on certain offers because of the small emolument or because the job is not prestigious enough. Stop it! God wants you to engage your hands. Start something before the end of this month. You may have a talent, an education or gift you can turn into an income-yielding business. Go ahead as long as the business is legitimate.

One revelation from this is that who stick with the Word of God and frolic regularly with Him are connected to the Creator and as such, they can tap into God’s creative power and begin to create things, following the steps of God and the Word.

……But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16b

The truth is, you cannot be so close to God’s Word and be so far from ideas. Sin is a robber of ideas. If you can keep away from sin and give quality time to studying the Bible, ideas will flow from Him to you. If you claim to spend time with Jesus, what have you to show for it? What ideas have you divinely received and introduced to improve your business, industry, church, or even the world? Stop hoarding ideas that will change your world! Circulate them so that God’s name will be glorified.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, as I spend time with Your Word from today, release creative ideas into my mind to enable me make a difference in my world.

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) READ: Acts 2:1-4 U nity is a powerful force in the universe. However, uniting against God, His Word or His children causes God to arise in defence of His Name. This is the other side of power of unity. Barring this, unity can accomplish almost anything on the face of the earth. In Genesis 11:5-6, God said that if the people of the earth were left with one language and as united as they were in building the city and tower, they will be unstoppable. The united are unstoppable. Unity is a powerful tool for achieving plans and purposes. But if operated in righteousness within the Christian fold, it is even more powerful. “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it sha

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop
