PRAYER IS KEY Tuesday 24 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Memorise: And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. Luke 9:29

Read: Jeremiah 33:1-3

For many Christians, having an experience like John’s encounter with the Lord in Revelation 1:1-18 would have been their ultimate. The quest to know Him would have terminated at that point. But the truth is, whatever level of glory you have experienced, there is yet something higher. When you encounter a level of God’s glory, don’t be satisfied because there is a higher level ahead of you. Never allow your present level be your terminal point! One person who almost made such mistake was prophet Jeremiah. He had a relationship with God and was privy to several of God’s thoughts and plans. He was made to see several revelations bothering on the past, present and even what would happen several hundreds of years to come. But just when he was thinking he had arrived, the Lord jolted him from his slumber, charging him to ask, because, there were yet many great secrets he was yet to know.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3

It is important to note that prayer plays a vital role in our quest to access more of God’s glory. It is a ladder we can climb to enter into God’s presence. The more you pray, the more of His presence you will encounter, leading you into more of His glory. At the mount of Transfiguration, when the Lord moved His prayer gear to a higher level, He was Himself in the presence of His Father and His clothes shone with God’s glory (Luke 9:29). After this experience, Jesus returned to the domains of men, empowered to gain victory over men, demons and challenges that came His way. There is no problem too big that cannot be solved; the issue is: many people are too lazy to pray their way into God’s presence to enable them access the level of glory they require to reign over Satan, situations, circumstances and their fears. Wake up! Rise up in prayer and begin to pray your way into His presence today!

KEY POINT:
In Heaven, you are rated by the level of glory you can access and carry.

Bible in one year: Hebrews 5-7

BENEFITS OF UNITY Sunday 27 November

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) READ: Acts 2:1-4 U nity is a powerful force in the universe. However, uniting against God, His Word or His children causes God to arise in defence of His Name. This is the other side of power of unity. Barring this, unity can accomplish almost anything on the face of the earth. In Genesis 11:5-6, God said that if the people of the earth were left with one language and as united as they were in building the city and tower, they will be unstoppable. The united are unstoppable. Unity is a powerful tool for achieving plans and purposes. But if operated in righteousness within the Christian fold, it is even more powerful. “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it sha

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop
