Memorise: Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure,
having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that
nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2 Timothy 2:19
READ: Isaiah 26:20-21
The faithful few are precious in God’s sight and the Lord
will always keep them from partaking in the judgement of sinners. An example of
this is recorded in 1 Kings 14:7-16. Jeroboam was a very wicked king. He did
not only sin but caused so many to sin with him. He had many sons. When God
pronounced judgement on him, his whole family faced extinction. But Abidjah was
spared from this judgement because he towed the path of righteousness. When
judgement is coming upon families, yours will be spared in Jesus name. When
cities and communities are to face disasters and destruction, you will be
spared.
If you love to do God’s will all the time and diligently
obey His voice, He will keep you from judgement. When He brought the plagues on
Egypt, in the land of Goshen where the Israelites lived, there was no trace of
plague (Exodus 8:21-23). God separated His own from those who were not His. 2
Timothy 2:19 says no matter what people claim, God knows His own. Are you God’s
own? It is not enough to say yes. It is not enough to claim to be a child of
God; does God know you as His bona fide son or daughter? If He does not, there
can be no separation at the time of judgement. Moreover, shortly before the
Great Tribulation, the Lord would have called home His own.
Come, my people, enter
thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were
for a little moment, until the indignation be over past. Isaiah 26:20
Are you faithfully serving the Lord? There is a hiding place
reserved for you in Christ. You shall not be a casualty in time of judgement.
Like the psalmist, you shall only see and hear of those who are casualties but
you shall be untouched (Psalm 91:7-8). Are you among the faithful few?
PRAYER POINT:
Father, this season, let my name and names of members of my
family be excluded from the list of those to die, be involved in accidents, be
robbed or destroyed in Jesus name.
Bible in one year: Deuteronomy 1-3
