HANDLING ENEMIES Saturday 12 March

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

MEMORIZE: “For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?” (Matt. 5:46).

READ: Matthew 5:43-48

From the story of Moses, we learn that sometimes, the person we would not want to see may really be the one we are waiting for. This season, the Lord will give you pleasant surprises from the camp of your enemy in Jesus name. In addition, we learn that God can cause your helpers to locate you right where you are. Miriam did not move Moses from where he was kept. Help located him where he was. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, help will locate you through your unpleasant situation. Everything meant to hinder your help from reaching you shall be stopped. This season, you shall not lack help anymore! For a user of this devotional, the Lord is releasing your help to locate you in soon. As this is fulfilled in your life, give God praise and testify before His people.

Speaking of helpers, there are different categories of helpers. You need helpers in every facet of life. You need helpers among friends and enemies. You need helpers in your business, finance, academics, ministry, office, etc. In every area you need help, your Heaven-appointed helpers shall meet you in Jesus name. Pharaoh’s Daughter saw the little boat where Moses was kept and sent for it. On opening it the baby wept. God moved him to weep, and in the process he got compassion from the enemy. What you need to do to draw empathy and compassion from your enemies, the Lord will help you to do it at the right time in Jesus name. There is no fixed way for God to do this; God, however, has the strategy over all unfriendly situations. If God says you should go and beg your enemy, do it. If He says that you should pray for the enemy, obey. If He says you should sow seed of kindness into the life or family of your enemy, obey. Just ensure you hear from God and adhere to His strategy for turning around your particular situation. You can find favour from your enemies. To get this, try sowing acts of kindness, good thoughts and mercy into the life of your enemy. Pray earnestly for the eyes of the fellow to be opened to know the Lord. Lead that enemy to Christ. Do not follow the path of vengeance. As you love your enemies, also ensure your ways are right with God.

KEY POINT:
If God asks you to follow peace with your enemy, it is not because He cannot destroy the fellow; He just wants to make a helper out of him.

IDOLS FRUSTRATE EXPECTATIONS Monday 27 August

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye Memorise: The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. Proverbs 10:28 Read: Isaiah 44:10-18 B efore you receive a prophetic declaration, check out the fruit of the vessel-the prophet, pastor, or servant of God, whether the fellow is still in league with God. Some people say, “thus says the Lord,” but the Lord did not say anything to them. Some of them heard from themselves and spoke. Be careful of what you accept as being from God. In Jeremiah 28:1-4, Hananiah a prophet prophesied that in two years God was going to set Israel free from the yoke of the king of Babylon, but it was all a lie! Imagine the joy of the people when they heard that. But after two years, and the prophecy did not come to pass, all the expectations of the people failed. Instead of two years, they spent 70 years. In others, the prophetic lies of prophets cannot change what God want to do or alter its tim...

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop...
