HOW FIERY IS YOUR WALL OF FIRE? Thursday 12 April

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye
Memorise: For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. Zechariah 2:5
Read: 2 Kings 6: 8-17
It’s so gratifying to know that God promises to build a wall of fire round about His children. Satan alluded to this when he sought for permission to attack job (Job 1:9-10). At the time the enemies surrounded Elisha, God opened the eyes of his servant and he saw that innumerable horses and chariots of fire were around Elisha. Those besieging them were themselves surrounded by a heavenly army. God has not changed. He still employs His fire as means of protecting His children today. If you are a true child of God, living daily to please Him, God’s fire will protect you. Do not be anxious because you cannot see it; your enemies’ see it and they quake and hold back or else they will be roasted. Any enemy who wants to attack you and your loved ones from today shall be roasted by the wall of fire around you.
You could however intensify your fiery wall, reduce the fire or totally remove the wall of fire around you depending on your relationship with God. If you grow in the grace of God, pray regularly in the spirit and grow in your relationship with the Holy Spirit, obeying all His instructions, the fire in your wall of protection will increase. If you dabble into sin, the fire will decrease and if you continue in sin or separate from the Lord, you will lose your fiery wall completely. There are some believers whose wall of fire cannot even roast a fly. They are so cold from prayerlessness that their fire can’t hurt the enemy. Whereas, the wall of protection of some believers is so hot that in order to be safe, enemies stay miles away. Is your wall of fire still burning hot or have they become what the enemies toy with? The hotness of your fiery is also indicative of the level of glory you carry. There is a relationship between these three variables: God, fire and glory. The amount of God’s presence in you will determine the intensity of the fire on your wall of protection, which in turn determines the level of God’s glory you radiate. Are you carrying His fire still?
PRAYER POINT:
Father, as never before, let me and everything associated with me be enveloped in Your fire.
Bible in one year: James 3-5

BENEFITS OF UNITY Sunday 27 November

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) READ: Acts 2:1-4 U nity is a powerful force in the universe. However, uniting against God, His Word or His children causes God to arise in defence of His Name. This is the other side of power of unity. Barring this, unity can accomplish almost anything on the face of the earth. In Genesis 11:5-6, God said that if the people of the earth were left with one language and as united as they were in building the city and tower, they will be unstoppable. The united are unstoppable. Unity is a powerful tool for achieving plans and purposes. But if operated in righteousness within the Christian fold, it is even more powerful. “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it sha

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop
