HIS PRESENCE Thursday 26 January

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Memorise: And he said unto him, if thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Exodus 33:15

Read: Exodus 33:13-16

If you must prosper, you cannot ignore having God’s presence. The presence of God brings prosperity like nothing else. Joseph prospered because of God’s presence (Genesis 39:2), and so did all the saints before us. Even the Lord Jesus Christ needed God’s presence in order to succeed in life and ministry (Acts 10:38). Beloved, you cannot do without God’s presence. Do you really want to prosper in life and ministry? Then what you need more than anything else is God’s presence in your life. When you are born again, you have the presence of God inside of you in some measure. But as you cultivate His friendship, relate with Him daily, praise and worship Him, feed on His Word and obey Him, that presence grows. You need the presence of God to deal with enemies and every situation or challenge that comes your way. The problems you can solve will be determined by the amount of God’s presence upon you. What level of God’s presence are you carrying?

One person who knew the value of God’s presence was Moses. As long as God was with him: he could stretch his hands over the Red Sea and God would put a highway in the sea, he could smite the nation of Egypt with plagues of judgement, he could cause his rod to swallow the magic wands of the sorcerers of Egypt. In today’s reading, we see Moses frantically asking for God’s presence. Never seek a position that God has not given to you because God will not honour what He has not commanded with His presence. If you dethrone others so that you can take their place, you have just dug a pit for yourself. God’s presence cannot go with you there. Lobbying for positions may deliver your desire, but without God. Moses was not ready to go up without the assurance of divine presence. When God’s presence goes with you, it means you are favoured of God. Is God with you in all you do? Or do you do things with your own solo effort?

PRAYER POINT:
Father, anything that will take Your presence away from me, take it out of my life.

Bible in one year: Hebrews 11-13

BENEFITS OF UNITY Sunday 27 November

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) READ: Acts 2:1-4 U nity is a powerful force in the universe. However, uniting against God, His Word or His children causes God to arise in defence of His Name. This is the other side of power of unity. Barring this, unity can accomplish almost anything on the face of the earth. In Genesis 11:5-6, God said that if the people of the earth were left with one language and as united as they were in building the city and tower, they will be unstoppable. The united are unstoppable. Unity is a powerful tool for achieving plans and purposes. But if operated in righteousness within the Christian fold, it is even more powerful. “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it sha

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop
