MORE THAN CONQUERORS Friday 4 November

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

MEMORIZE: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4)

READ: Romans 8:37-39

If while preparing for a fight God shows you that at the end, even though you were knocked down, with your neck broken and one eye closed, you were declared the winner, you will approach such a fight with confidence. When the fight starts, and you receive punches from different angles and you fall, you will console yourself that you have already seen it in the dream. But your determination to win will be intact. Romans 8:37 says we are more than conquerors. This tells us that we are engaged in a warfare. There is a fight you must fight to get to the top. It also assures us of victory before the fight starts. The One who loves us says we have already won even before embarking on the fight. This promise is very reassuring because He knows He is the One to deliver that victory to us. The battle against sickness has been decided in your favour. You are going to defeat those forces of darkness engaging you in combat. You have won the battle against poverty. You are more than just a conqueror.

God is the Most High and the Almighty. He is so powerful that His weakness is still stronger than man at his peak of power. The phrase ‘more than conquerors’ indicates that there may be several battles to fight. Do not let anyone deceive you: there are many battles in diverse fields that you must fight. Your assurance in the midst of these storms of life is that you cannot fail in life’s battles because Jesus never failed. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”. God as your source is ready to do the impossible through you. He is willing and ready for action, but are you? Do you allow His power in you to increase? Do you allow His Spirit on you to increase? You are the one to decide the measure of His involvement in your life and situation. If you give Him only 20 percent allowance in that situation, that is the extent He will work in your life. But if you however give Him full control of your life by allowing His Spirit to fill you up and have His way, you can be victorious in all battles that come your way. Fear not! The Lord will see you through all your challenges this period. Ensure you involve Him in all.

PRAYER POINT:
Take time to thank God for giving you victory over all life’s battles and making you more than a conqueror.

BENEFITS OF UNITY Sunday 27 November

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) READ: Acts 2:1-4 U nity is a powerful force in the universe. However, uniting against God, His Word or His children causes God to arise in defence of His Name. This is the other side of power of unity. Barring this, unity can accomplish almost anything on the face of the earth. In Genesis 11:5-6, God said that if the people of the earth were left with one language and as united as they were in building the city and tower, they will be unstoppable. The united are unstoppable. Unity is a powerful tool for achieving plans and purposes. But if operated in righteousness within the Christian fold, it is even more powerful. “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it sha

YOUR VOICE SHALL BE HEARD Wednesday 26 October

Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye MEMORIZE: “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.” (Psalm 18:44). READ: Psalm 18:43-45 W hen Bartimaeus was steps away from his breakthrough, the crowd around him shouted him down. But by the grace of God, he doubled his efforts and cried out the more. He simply told the crowd: ‘If you think you have heard noise you have not heard anything yet’. The reality is that if you need help and send a faint cry in the midst of a crowd, they will want to shut you up. But if your cry is unparalleled, defying the voices of the opposition, there would be a general consensus by the crowd for you to be attended to, at least so that they can have their peace. This season, by the mercy of God, there will be a meeting of the crowd hindering your blessing and their consensus would be that you receive immediate attention. Another lesson from this story is that while peop
